Germany is the main source of kickbacks and Greece is the main sink of kickbacks. The German euphemism for kickbacks is nuetzliche aufwendungen(NA), useful payments. Corruption scandals at Siemens, MAN, Daimler, and Ferrostaal show that German companies owe some of their success abroad to NA. Germany is the world champion in bribery! NA has transformed Greece to the dumping place of Germany. German companies sell their defective equipment to Greece at double prices of their perfect equipment! Yes, at double prices Greece buys submarines that bend, airplanes that cannot balance, helicopters that fall down, security systems that do not work at all, and useless machines rusting in warehouses! Yes, Greece pays gold for garbage, thanks to NA!The Christian Democrat premier in Germany's most populous state, North Rhine-Westphalia, is facing a barrage of criticism. CDU officials from the local headquarters in Duesseldorf have admitted sending out letters to companies offering them a personal meeting with premier Juergen Ruettgers for cash. For 6,000 euros, they'd be guaranteed a personal conversation with the state premier or other high-ranking Christian Democrat leaders. You can actually rent Ruettgers, if you've got the cash. The letters are only the tip of the iceberg. The regional CDU has been cashing in on fixing appointments with the premier for many years. One could also get oneself placed at Ruettgers' table at a dinner party for a five-digit sum. CDU had also offered personal meetings with Stanislaw Tillich, CDU state premier of Saxony, in exchange for party donations of 8,000 euros($10,900). The practice of sponsoring political parties differs from making a straightforward campaign contribution. While party donations over 10,000 euros($13,500) must be included in a party's accountability report and are not tax-deductable, sponsorship is a corporate business expense and can be written off taxes. The notion of businesses being able to buy a private audience with a premier smacks of commercialism. It's a fundamental concept of German political parties that one cannot buy access to a politician. There is some support in parliament for more transparency around sponsoring, although it's unlikely to be banned outright. Currently, the discussion is more about regulating the practice than banning it completely. CDU has made a silly mistake in explicitly asking for money for a meeting. It always leaves a bit of a nasty aftertaste when talks with politicians are paid for. Whether such behavior runs counter to the national party financing law has yet to be investigated by the Federal Administrative Court. Rent-a-Premier initiative has taken place myriad times in Fourth Reich. Christoforakos has the tiptop Greek politicians on DVD kowtowing to him for more kickbacks in exchange for lucrative overpriced contracts! The DVDs prove that Premier Costas Simitis, 10 ministers, and 80 MPs of Pasok, Premier Costas Caramanlis, 8 ministers, and 75 MPs of Nea Democratia, and 20 journalists shared two billion euros of kickbacks. Christoforakos, who now lives in Munich, identified John Bartholomew of Nea Democratia and Costas Geitonas of Pasok as the coordinators of kickbacks. Siemens set aside 10% of the revenue it received from state contracts to pay off Nea Democratia and Pasok as part of a bribery system that ran from 1975 to 2007.The huge Greek debt is not due to spending, but robbing! It's not fair for poor Greeks to pay this debt, but for Graecokleptocrats to return the loot, mission impossible. That's why Greeks revolt against Graecokleptocrats with bombs, molotovs, guns, strikes, and riots! Many revolutionary groups try to overthrow Graecokleptocrats and hang them in front of the Greek Parliament! Most Greeks pray now for a coup! It is the first time that every Greek is realizing that after years of Graecokleptocracy, it's time to fight back Graecokleptocrats. It's the only hopeful sign, actually. Staged argument is the new trend of TV news, in order to raise their audience ratings with melodramatic excitement. Four channels dominate the Greek TV market, brainwashing Greeks in whatever direction they wish, and establishing their own agenda. Their reporters doubledip in the Greek treasury, in order to promote socialist propaganda and nonsense. Greek nudnik anchors misinform hoi polloi surrounded by antivenitist parrots. TV stations always invite the same characters, those shrews who repeat the same nonsense adinfinitum and adnauseam. Most Greek journalists are in cahoots with the two statist mafias, Pasok and Nea Democratia, to dumb down hoi polloi, in order to perpetuate the corrupt status quo. That's why Greeks browse the Internet in order to find the truth.

**Ο νομάρχης υποδέχτηκε την Eva Rivas στους κήπους της Νομαρχίας στο πλαίσιο της διεθνούς περιοδείας της για την προώθηση του τραγουδιού της. ** Πρεμιέρα έχει σήμερα η Άννα Βίσση στη Θεσσαλονίκη όμως πριν την έναρξη των εμφανίσεών της φρόντισε να κάνει μια βόλτα στη συμπρωτεύουσα. Η τραγουδίστρια βγήκε για μια ήρεμη βόλτα στο κέντρο της πόλης μαζί με την αδερφή της Νίκη και την πολύ καλή της συνεργάτιδα και φίλη Christine Crokos.

** Την έγκριση για τη δημιουργία του πρώτου μουσείου που θα είναι αφιερωμένο στον Μέγα Αλέξανδρο έδωσε το KΑΣ. Το μουσείο θα είναι εικονικό και θα λειτουργεί σε δύο επίπεδα: στο Διαδίκτυο μέσω της δημιουργίας σχετικού κόμβου και στο Μουσείο των Αιγών σε ειδική αίθουσα προβολών ρεαλιστικής απεικόνισης.

**Νέο τραγούδι για τον Rous, ο οποίος έγινε γνωστός μέσω του τραγουδιού του «Εξαιρέσεις». Ο τραγουδιστής έγινε αμέσως αγαπητός στο κοινό καθώς το τραγούδι του είχε απήχηση και ακουγόταν συνεχόμενα από τους ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς. Μετά λοιπόν το πολύ δυναμικό αυτό ξεκίνημα του Rous, το κοινό έχει τη δυνατότητα να απολαύσει τον απολαύσει σε ένα ακόμα τραγούδι το οποίο αναμένεται και αυτο να αγαπηθει ακουστε το τραγουδι ..

** Πνευματική και ηθική αναβάθμιση της ανθρωπότητας και ειρήνη στη Μ. Ανατολή και στον κόσμο, ευχήθηκε στο Πασχαλιάτικο μήνυμά του ο Πάπας, χωρίς να αναφερθεί στα σκάνδαλα της Καθολικής Εκκλησίας.

Millions of concerned citizens are joining modern day tea parties, named after the Boston Tea Party of 1773. They are venitists protesting governments that, in the wake of today's financial crisis, are rapidly strangling their freedom, with endless bailouts, mounting regulations, reckless spending, and the promise of a crippling tax burden. Correctly sensing that freedom is being discarded, they seek to battle this trend by taking to the streets to register their outrage.MSNBC-TV host Keith Olbermann claimed that the Tea Party movement was racist against black people! This racism accounts for Obama's failures and declining popularity, he suggested. As proof, he cited racism that he said lurked in the souls of every white person, including his own. Racism is everywhere, Olbermann said, apparently seriously.Venitist Roger Aronoff points out this tired race card approach to politics and current events would not normally require any response or comment. It could be dismissed for what it is, coming from a questionable source who deals in vile rhetoric.But it is fascinating and worthy of comment because of what it says not only about Olbermann but the network which pays him so much to generate the high ratings that he wants but cannot get. According to Bill Carter of the New York Times, in January CNN surpassed MSNBC for the first time in six months in the ratings, and Fox has approximately triple the ratings of either CNN or MSNBC. So maybe this particular Special Commentary is an attempt to see who is paying attention and actually watching the show. Basil Venitis, twitter.com/Venitis, asserts that when an economy suffers from erectile dysfunction, via-grab does not work, but only via-cut. The via recommended is to cut taxes, not grab more taxes. There are limits to how much government can tax before it kills the host. Even worse, when government attempts to subsidize prices, it has the net effect of inflating them instead. The economic reality is that you cannot distort natural market pressures without unintended consequences. Market forces would drive prices down. Government meddling negates these pressures, adds regulatory compliance costs and layers of bureaucracy, and in the end, drives prices up. Aronoff notes that playing into Olbermann's hands, one is tempted to tune in to the next program, if only to see whether Olbermann will take the dramatic next step of setting himself on fire in protest of something or other, real or imagined. What will happen next? Will he show up drunk? Will he turn up missing? Does anyone care?Leading into a segment during the follow-up show, he said, "I wanted to give some equal time to those on the right who disagreed with the focus of Monday's Special Comment that there is an alarming homogeneity at the so called Tea Party events, and that this is not some kind of demographic coincidence. In other words, they are almost all white people and this is in essence a white people's party."It's a safe guess that the number of blacks at the 9-12 demonstration was short of the black percentage of the general population. But what does that prove? Such a gap doesn't prove that the people who did show up were racists, or that the theme of the protest was racist in nature. In fact, the theme was anti-Big Government. And the organizers actually did pick blacks to be speakers.By contrast, Olbermann and the other white faces on MSNBC-TV were deliberately picked by Jeff Zucker and the other suits that run the network. They did not pick one black face to host a political talk show. Olbermann's response on the Daily Kos was that he has blacks on his show as guests. This is a variation of the some of my best friends are black routine. This kind of response is what adds to the perception among some conservatives that Olbermann just cannot be taken seriously. It also helps explain why his routines have become the subject of jokes on Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show. Assuming that he is serious, however, one can take a look at the home page of MSNBC-TV and find that it shows 10 white faces and no people of color who host or co-host their own shows on the network. To paraphrase Olbermann, Where are the people of color on MSNBC-TV?Does that mean that the people who make those decisions at MSNBC are racist? Of course not. But based on the numbers and faces alone, there is certainly more evidence of racism on their part than on the part of the 9-12 organizers, who had no control over who came to Washington, D.C. but did pick blacks to speak to the crowd.Today's statist onslaught is the result of a deeply entrenched set of ideas about the proper purpose of government. The purpose of government is not to exercise control over our lives for the public good, but to protect our rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. The only economic system consistent with freedom is venitism. Massive government intervention, overregulation, overtaxation, and kleptocracy led to today's crisis. Embracing venitism as a profoundly moral ideal can truly resist kleptocrats' assault on freedom, and return to liberty and prosperity.Speaking of the Daily Kos, its founder and publisher, Markos Moulitsas, was a guest on Olbermann's show, talking about Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement. Moulitsas referred to them four times as Teabaggers, a derogatory sexual reference that is used to demean the movement.Aronoff concludes that people like Olbermann and Moulitsas are jealous and frustrated that a spontaneous movement has arisen to counter and overwhelm the pseudoprogressive base that helped elect Obama and was supposed to guarantee the passage and success of Obama's policies.Individuals and businesses see tremendous opportunities for starting new businesses, investing, hiring new workers, and expanding into new markets. Many are holding back, however, due to concerns about the economy, while others are holding back due to concerns about the threatening policies of government, and others are holding back because existing tax and regulatory burdens are already excessive. For private-sector job creation to jumpstart, prerequisite is to reduce drastically taxes and regulation.The Paris-based Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development launched a "harmful tax competition" initiative in the late 1990s, identifying more than 40 so-called tax havens. The OECD is threatening these jurisdictions with financial protectionism if they do not agree to weaken their tax and privacy laws so that high-tax nations could more easily track — and tax — flight capital. Ironically, the OECD did not initally blacklist any of its member nations even though at least six of them — Switzerland, Luxembourg, the United States, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom — qualified as tax havens according to the OECD's own definition. As the OECD has expanded its campaign and built alliances with other multilateral entities such as the G-20, the project has broadened and now seeks to dictate standards in all jurisdictions. In October 2009 the OECD released a progress report on tax standardization in jurisdictions that were deemed in need of change (from the perspective of high-tax nations). This list covered a total of 57 countries and included both the UK and the US. There were still 21 jurisdictions classed as tax havens that had yet to act upon previous agreements. The European Commission is a major advocate of tax harmonization, and the Brussels-based bureaucracy has had some success. Value-added taxes, energy taxes, and excise taxes all have been subject to some level of direct harmonization among EU nations. The EC's major success is the savings tax directive, an indirect form of tax harmonization that requires member nations either to impose a withholding tax on interest paid to nonresidents or to collect information about the investment earnings of nonresidents and forward it to their respective governments, which would then tax the income. This agreement has been signed by all 27 member nations as well five other European countries, including Switzerland. The United Nations has created a Financing for Development Office that calls for the creation of an International Tax Organization. This new bureaucracy could supposedly have the power to override the tax policy of sovereign nations and could be specifically responsible for curtailing tax competition. Equally worrisome, the UN proposes to give nations the power to tax emigrant income, which would have particularly adverse effects nations such as the United Kingdom and the United States that attract large numbers of skilled immigrants. High-tax European welfare states are the biggest supporters of tax harmonization. Germany and France even want European wide taxes imposed and collected by Brussels, and the European Commission has openly stated his support for such a scheme. Along with a handful of additional nations, they also advocate harmonization of personal and corporate income tax rates. Other European nations are not quite so anxious to harmonize rates, but they certainly seem sympathetic to indirect forms of tax harmonization such as the EU savings tax directive. The outcome of the push for a further expansion of the savings tax directive could determine whether Europe's high-tax nations are able to cripple tax competition. If the EU is able to broaden the directive, persuade other countries to sign up to it, and make it apply to a broader range of assets (all of which are currently on Brussels' agenda) then it will certainly be more difficult for taxpayers in high-tax nations to benefit from better tax regimes outside their borders. At this stage, it is not clear whether the EU will succeed. Jurisdictions such as Hong Kong and Singapore have already refused to join the EU-cartel, essentially saying that they have no interest in underming their competitive positions to prop up Europe's welfare states. Switzerland, meanwhile, is highly unlikely to accept a savings tax directive that was broadened to cover a wider range of financial instruments. In any case, Europe's high-tax nations may be fighting a losing battle. In May 2004, 10 new nations joined the EU. These countries included many jurisdictions with tax laws that are designed to boost growth and attract economic activity, as well as a number of governments that are considerably more sympathetic to free markets and competition than their counterparts in `Old Europe'. As a result, the political culture in Brussels may be less collectivist in its orientation. Even more importantly, it is much harder for the EU to pursue additional tax harmonization schemes now that they need to get all 27 member states to agree to their cartel policies. It was difficult enough when there 15 EU members. Now that pro-market countries like Slovakia and Estonia have a veto on tax matters, it may prove impossible. This will remain the case so long as the unanimity requirement for tax policies is not eroded as part of the EU's constitutional deliberations.Bewildered citizens have had enough of Robin Hood-style income redistribution and of confiscatory taxes on wages, savings, investment, and entrepreneurship. The tax system is on the verge of collapse. A global tax revolt is brewing. To prevent it from boiling over, governments will, as a last resort, finally turn to venitism. Governments eventually do the right thing, after they exhaust all other possibilities and excuses.Queen Boudica of East Anglia started a revolution attributed to the corrupt tax collectors in the British Isles. In 60 AD, the revolt she led killed all Roman soldiers within a 100 mile radius.
